Looks like the airline industry is coming back due to the lower cost of fuel, although no one knows how long that will last, currently with fuel prices down they are breathing easier right now and look to see profitability in 2009. But with traffic down also, aircraft are not always full, even though many airlines have cut capacity.

This should not surprise anyone. With airline travel down and excess capacity being cut. Aircraft can load and de-plane faster and there are fewer aircraft waiting in line or stacking up waiting to land. Although we are currently in a bit of a pickle in the airline industry, fuel prices are finally starting to come down and while the airlines of the world are not out of the woods yet, things are looking slightly better than they were a few months ago. Still, there is another issue, the airlines need more fuel efficient aircraft to compete and save fuel, even with the jet fuel prices on the temporary chill (OPEC is planning an Emergency Meeting).
