If you’re like most people, it’s hard to see so much of your hard-earned money go straight to taxes. Sure, you understand that those taxes are necessary to keep everything running, but that doesn’t necessarily lessen the sting. After all, you’ve got bills to pay, mouths to feed, and a savings account to grow so you can try to afford one of those cheap all inclusive deals you read about on the internet from time to time. The problem is the money never seems to be big enough for everything, so inevitably the vacation is the thing that slips. And that’s good, since paying bills and feeding your family are certainly both more important than slipping away to sip umbrella drinks on some sandy beach. But that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t like to get away on that vacation, too.

Fortunately, there is one way that some people find themselves able to afford an all inclusive Caribbean trip. It’s the income tax return, and it’s something that many families don’t plan for. In fact, it can seem like found money sometimes if you really didn’t see it coming. While you should probably know a ballpark estimate of the return you’ll be expecting based on the amount of tax you’re withholding, the reality is sometimes things change and numbers get jumbled without anyone realizing it. A family that broke even on taxes the year before might get several thousand back just by slighting changing several variables. And since they didn’t budget for that money, it can come as quite a surprise. So what do you do with it?

Well, some people would put it right into savings. While that may be a great idea, others may need it for home repairs, to replace a broken down appliance, or to tune up the family van. There is no shortage of needs for that extra money. But what about all inclusive Caribbean vacations? Sure, it’s a one-shot deal, but what a shot it is! In addition to being a relaxing way to recharge your batteries for another hard year of work, a vacation like this is something your family will talk about for years. So why not give them that wonderful chance to bond with you on white sandy beaches and azure blue waters? You’re worth it, so if you get that tax return this year, think about spending it on a memory to last a lifetime!
