A Great Vacation on a Budget
So many travelers are wondering with the economy right now if can they afford a vacation. Look at this most affordable all inclusive option for the budget minded: Cruising. Maybe this would not be your first thought, but maybe you should start thinking about a cruise.
Cruising is an all-inclusive vacation. It can let you have the most for your travel dollar in accommodations and food marvelous food. The activities on board are there just for the eating and the excursions that are offered by the cruise line are icing on the cake.
Travelers intent on visiting the art museums or cathedrals, open air markets or scuba diving, cruises are now one of the most affordable options. Cruise packages are typically all-inclusive (the cost covers the room, meals and onboard entertainment). This will help you better budget your trip.
Now there’s an added bonus, in an effort to fill their ships, cruise lines are throwing airfare into the price, and with some of these deals, cruise goers can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars off the regular price. Last minute booking might even help you score a suite for a sweet price. Check out the deals available on line, or when the listings that say “Call for Price” call them.
Once the boat leaves the dock they cannot sell any more cabins. So, if they do not offer you a deal, ask for one. Then catch a red eye flight and you are on a fabulous vacation!!
Plan to stay on the ship for the best prices on spa packages. Book these early, within the first 24 hours on the boat to have the best choice of times and treatments. You might even win big with a 2 for 1, because when the ship is in port, it is hard to fill the spa. If you just want to rest and relax, on board the ship is for the budget conscience, remember, usually the bar is closed while in port.
Relaxing in deck chair could be the answer to your best intentions of finishing that book. The ship is quiet and the casino is closed while in port, because most people are on shore. So, if you think the pool is busy at sea, it is a lot quieter while in port (if it’s open).
Wherever you plan to vacation, on the coastal waters of the US, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia or a Transatlantic, the cruise dollar is one of the best you will spend.
